Property: it is slightly yellow crystalline powder. Its melting point is 200℃. It is slightly soluble in cold water, hot ethanol and ether and soluble in hot water and diluted ammonium hydroxide. It is changed into toxic vanadium pentoxide when burnt in air. Its relative molecular weight is 116.98.
Application: it is mainly used as chemical reagents, catalysts, mordants and so on. It is widely used as glazes in ceramic industry, and also can be used for preparing vanadium pentoxide.
